8 Day 7 Night Explore California and Arizona Tour!

Day 1: Head
west into the beautiful San Bernadino Mountains to camp for 2 nights at
Big Bear Lake, CA! On the first evening of your tour, join your new
friends at a delicious guide prepared bbq, followed by a spectacular
sunset hike on one of the areas many historic wilderness trails. Unwind
as we reflect on the day by the glow of the campfire and settle into
our spacious tents and sleeping bags.
Day 2: Wake up to a delicious camp cooked breakfast of eggs, bacon, hash browns, cereal, fruit, juice, milk and more! Then we're off to enjoy Southern California's only authentic 1/4 mile alpine bobsled experience doubled with a water-slide to cool off! A mini golf course and go carts add to the excitement. Explore the Big Bear Discovery Center and learn about the wildlife and geology of this gem of an area. Back at the campsite, we'll fuel up after a big day with a freshly prepared campfire dinner.
Day 3: Head to the coastline of Laguna Beach for some fun in the sun! Camp near the beach for two nights at an incredible coastal state park. The views from our site are so beautiful they make it hard to leave. This family-friendly park boasts three miles of Pacific coastline, plus wooded canyons and open bluffs. We'll explore the tide-pools in the area looking for sea creatures! As the sun goes down, be prepared for a spectacular dinner and sunset as the Pacific Ocean glows with oranges and reds. Tonight as we camp we'll be lulled asleep by the sound of waves in the distance.
Day 4: Wake up to the refreshing feeling of being near the ocean. After a hearty fruit, pancake, and sausage breakfast (vegetarian options are always available), take a turn in the annual sandcastle competition! Also enjoy time to relax on the beach, play volleyball, ride a boogie board, and enjoy the clear water reef breaks. Later in the evening, we'll go on a guided hike on the bluffs for breathtaking views.
Day 5: As we wake up and pack up our camp to the sounds of the ocean, we'll feast on another camp-cooked breakfast. Then we'll drive back to Phoenix by 3pm while enjoying your new friends, an on-board movie, and the diverse scenery around you. This evening enjoy some civilized comforts as we stay at a Marriott Courtyard hotel or similar, feast on an included restaurant buffet, and enjoy an included movie at a theater. In the morning we head to the Grand Canyon!
Day 6: Heading North from Phoenix we cool off on natural rock water slides at Slide Rock State Park! Once at the Grand Canyon we'll learn about the raptors in the area at a live bird show featuring various raptors such as the California Condor, hawks and ravens. Feel the thrill of the first paddlers as we experience the early days of canyon exploration at the National Geographic IMAX theater. At the Grand Canyon we'll see the sunset of our lives and partake in a campfire bbq!
Day 7: Our guides treat us to a delectable breakfast with lots of options and then we'll go on to explore the Desert View area of the Grand Canyon and Lookout Tower designed by Mary Colter a famous architect! In the evening you'll have a once in a lifetime experience watching the sun set as we hike at the south rim of the Grand Canyon.
Day 8: Wake up to a gourmet, camp-cooked breakfast at the Grand Canyon, as we fuel up for the scenic sky ride at the Arizona Snowbowl! After riding to 12,000 ft on the sky ride, we'll have a pine mountain picnic and will be back in Phoenix by 3pm.
